Bell's and Jingles are ordered to find a powerful dangerous hand mirror for their god Loki. They haven't a clue where it's located. Bell's must do this to get out of the contract that Loki still claims she owes him for all the gifts he bestowed upon her. If they find the mirror she will be free from any debt she owes him. Along their journey they discover that a vampire thieves guild is threatening the livelihood of Coalar's guild, Jingle's ex-employer. His sense of loyalty pushes them into a dangerous situation putting Bell's life in peril where she faces supernatural beings and must use her wits and wand of wonder to survive.
