JUMBO began primarily as a reprint comic, but before long was a full-color showcase for original stories. From 1938-1953 --- a fantastic 15 year run, JUMBO COMICS was a mainstay of the Golden Age of Comics and Beyond. We're publishing all 167 issues individually, and offering a multi-volume collection.....AND you'll find all the popular characters in their own collection. So, however you want it, JUMBO COMICS and GWANDANALAND / MIDCENTURY COMICS will be hand-in-hand in your modern reprint collection! THIS BOOK: ISSUES #1-4. The first 8 issues of JUMBO COMICS were published in a B&W format, but not always with white or off-white pages. The pages were often a sepia or dark color, which when converted to strict B&W/greyscale results in a difficult-to-read page. We have opted to reprint the first two volumes of the collection using a color process, which we believe makes a better book.
