'George' is based on the life of Briony's father, who was born in 1908 and became one of the first pupils of the Caldecott Community in 1911. Profits from the sales of 'George' will go to the Caldecott Community Centenary Appeal: over £3 for each book and £2 for each download. In 2011 The Caldecott Foundation is celebrating 100 years experience in caring for children. We are launching our Centenary Appeal to develop our provision for young adults, to arm them with qualifications and confidence. At our School we give special care alongside our teaching so that the most troubled of young people can receive an education.
