Writing has been a hobby and ambition since childhood. It started with my first paperback, Conan of Cimmeria by Robert E. Howard, which my dad found in the attic and gave it to me. But, the ambition of writing actually kicked in when I read Pet Sematary by Stephen King. That man has captured my imagination since. I thank him for being my teacher and mentor. When I first started writing in high school, my readers were my fellow-students and teachers. But the ambition took a backseat to the need of a 'real job' that paid bills (am a Travel Consultant). But the urge to create worlds and characters kept gnawing the back of my brains. I had sworn not too long ago that if I havent published by 35, I would give up writing entirely. Guess what? I am 35 and my first book has been published. Thanks to LULU that rescued my ambition.
