I started writing metaphysical stories rather young, but next stop was UCBerkeley in the 60s where every spiritual rabbit hole awaited. After that I was determined to head for India with my romanticized view of ascetic life. Thankfully gurus came west, and I enjoyed years of experiences at the feet of masters and healers--some even staying in my home. It all fit so naturally with fantasy stories I was writing until a vedic astrologer told me the time to publish was still ahead.
