Dr. Thomas Ledger is the author of the Software Student's handbook and resident doctor, with an interest in the informatisation of healthcare and electronic medical records. He is the author of The Software Student's Handbook, which he wrote after topping the subject in the 2007 examination, in order to supply teaching material that to a greater extent engages students with modern real-life examples and questions for discussion, as well as topics to engage and develop talented students. In his spare time, Tom keeps abreast of developments in software and its development and programs, although not as much as he would like. Thomas speaks English, fluent Mandarin, Russian, and Greek.
