À propos de
Kathleen Wright, M.A.

Kathleen holds an M.A. in Music Education / Piano Pedagogy from the University of Minnesota. While she was trained since age five in the classical venue under Dr. Wilhelmina Pouget of Chicago, concert pianist and former student of 20th C. composer, Bela Bartok, she has been handed down an extraordinary pianistic technique. While teaching inside of twenty years, her time in Chicago afforded the good fortune of meeting, playing and recording with the late, great jazz artist, Hal Russell and the NRG Ensemble. It was at this time, Kathleen found an inexhaustible enthusiasm for avant-guarde jazz. She went on to teach piano and multimedia arts to students on the preparatory and collegiate levels, embracing classical, pop and jazz styles. Kathleen has also taught group classes for several years, introducing the piano to preschoolers with much success. Through this class, most of the students went on to private lessons, enhancing their scholastic and musical skills and enjoyment.
