Nature is fascinating for adults and children alike. When I was a child, I wanted to find out more about the wildlife around me. Unfortunately, the books available all featured American and European animals. Information about the unique wildlife of Australia was difficult to come by. I have written these books so that Australian children can learn about the minibeasts that they see in nearby parks, nature reserves, and even in their own backyards. Designed to compliment classroom libraries and guided reading material, these texts target beginning readers to fluent readers.
