Tom is a retired college counselor and faculty. He specializes in adolescent and young adult development. He is best known as the creator of the Asynchronous Development Model, a system for understanding the challenges young people face as they make the transition to adulthood. Tom is the author of award-winning short stories and published his first novel in 2022. His recent children's books make up a series called "Read and Discuss" that teaches positive values. He is a father of four and a grandfather of four.
