Cherie Hanson has published in various periodicals. She has taken classes toward her M.F.A. in creative writing poetry and holds an M.A. in Contemporary American Poetry from UBC Vancouver. She was one of only six Canadian poets selected for the Sage Hill Writing Experience in 2003. She has won third place and been a finalist for the Surrey Writing Competition poetry. Her interest in writing includes musical plays written for high school and elementary school audiences and writing articles for web sites and on line articles. She was the Jazz Columnist for B.C.
