Chih-Hong Cheng is a permanent researcher at Fraunhofer IKS and an adjunct faculty at the Research Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI), Academia Sinica. He is currently on leave as an interim professor at the University of Hildesheim. He is also a His research interests include software engineering, formal methods, and AI/ML for trustworthy autonomy. Before Hildesheim, he had research stints at ABB, DENSO, fortiss, and TU Munich. He had extensive experience in bridging AI/ML from running demos to safe products, with notable customers ranging from automotive, industrial automation, and railway. Chih-Hong received his doctoral degree in CS from the Technical University of Munich.
