E. Dennis Brod
E. Dennis Brod, a philosopher who has lived life in the real world, studied Western Civilization at Rutgers University with Dr. Peter Charanis, political science with Dr. Elton Atwater (a Quaker) and philosophy with Dr. Stanley Rosen, both at Pennsylvania State University. Receiving a Juris Doctor degree at Rutgers, he practiced law for fifty years. He was an entrepreneur and an elected public official. Decades of aiding those in difficulty showed that in most aspects of life, people did not use common sense. This led to a philosophy for a different perspective on how to live one’s life - the perspective embodied in Ethical Pragmatism. E. Dennis Brod and his wife, Geraldine, a retired psychologist, have three sons and three grandchildren, and speaking French and Spanish, have traveled the world never finding a culture they didn’t like. The author, who resides in San Francisco and Miami, writes and volunteers for many organizations including the Ethical Pragmatism Institute.
