Born outside London early in WW2 Desmond Fosbery went, after primary school, to Dulwich Prep then to Whitgift School. He studied Medicine at London University. Later, as a surgeon, he spent many years of his career overseas. He is now retired and lives in St. Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies with his wife Catherine. His hobbies include Sailing, Bee-Keeping and Writing.
