David Hollar
David Hollar has spent most of his life in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, first in Northern Virginia and then in Southern Maryland since 1973. He earned a B.S. degree from Bob Jones University in 1967 with a major in accounting. He married his wife, Sylvia, in July of the same year. David served three years in the U.S. Army and reached the rank of First Lieutenant. His service included a year as an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam. He worked for a year as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co., and in 1971, he accepted a position as an accountant with the federal government’s General Services Administration (GSA). He earned his C.P.A. certificate in 1973. He remained at GSA as a staff accountant supervisor until his retirement in June 2005.
