Herb Gilliland
Inventor of the YouTube brand, musician, artist, scientist, video game designer and Discordant anarchist. Herb spent most of 2000-2010 watching his company skyrocket to success without him. He is also the identifier of "MAD Instructions", a mneumonic for programming computational algorithms on the GPU using Multiply+Add rather than Divide+Subtract, which he observed in the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS). In between Iraqi war protests and general pranksterism, Herb has applied Renaissance Theory to his life by becoming a Chef, Entrepreneur, Software Engineer and roleplaying game enthusiast. At Carnegie Mellon, Herb merged an interest in science with skills in art. He is published internationally and has worked for dozens of companies applying his range of talents to a modicum of products, services and initiatives both in the commercial and non-profit sectors.
