Eva-Mari Thomas has worked with the DISA method since 2003. She has instructed hundreds of teenage girls and group leaders in Sweden and Finland in the method and given seminars and presentations on DISA in the United States, South Korea and New Zealand. Eva-Mari earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and received training as a mediator in the United States. She has worked for Social Services agencies in California and Colorado, is an Authorized Social Worker and a trained supervisor. She worked as a School Social Worker for the City of Stockholm for ten years, during which time she served as a member of the board of the Swedish Association of School Social Workers. She is currently an Advisory Board member for the International Journal of School Social Work.
