James Gregory Catledge was born, raised, and educated in Mississippi. A lifelong reader (thanks, Mom and Dad), he has written several things over the years, mostly short stories and memoirs. His first published work, 28 Dog Years, grew out of repeated requests from his nieces for more stories about his childhood and his dog Scrappy. An avid outdoorsman, Catledge is working on a travelogue about a trip to Chilean Patagonia and has a novel in progress. He and his wife currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
