Gareth Jones is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a background in anthropology, archaeology, and English. He and his wife have run the Open Mind Academy for eleven years. He has been teaching people to appreciate literature, especially poetry, and to write creatively for all that time. His guide to passing the Language Proficiency Index test (the LPI) has been on sale in university and college bookstores since 2005. He is currently working on a translation of the epic poem Beowulf.
