Hector Rivera
Hector Rivera – Author of Horror and Healing. Hector Rivera is the author of The Guardian in the Corner and Perched on the Rooftop, chilling psychological horror novels inspired by actual events. Blending supernatural elements with raw human suspense, his stories explore the fine line between reality and fear, leaving readers questioning what lurks in the shadows. The horrors Hector lived through—later captured in his novels—shaped not only his writing but also his career. Those early experiences of fear and survival led him into nursing, where he has served as an RN for nearly 30 years, with over 42 years in the healthcare field. His dual path as caregiver and storyteller reflects a commitment to understanding both the darkness we face and the resilience we can build. Through HARZ Publishing, Hector also writes the Somatic Wellness Series, including Somatic Exercises for Beginners, Somatic Exercises for Trauma Healing, and From Survival to Self – A Short Guide to Somatic Exercises. These works bridge his medical expertise with a passion for helping readers heal and reconnect with their bodies. A lifelong writer originally from Honduras, Hector draws on lived encounters, cultural memory, and decades of caring for others. He is currently working on Silhouettes Behind the Shadows, a mystery based on real events, and developing The Black Whip and The Boy and the Snake. When not writing, Hector travels the world in search of new adventures.
