About the author: I am an eleven year old student. I am currently in 6th grade. I have self-published two books, the first one being, "Hawks", something I wrote when I was eight years old, and, "Monsters", my latest release. "Why do I write books, you ask?" My most straightforward response would be: Inspiration. The sole reason I wrote my first book, Hawks, was because of inspiration. You see, at the time I was in second grade, I was reading a book series written by K.A. Applegate called Animorphs. This series of books truly piqued my interest in writing. I wrote a fan fiction book based off this series, thus introducing me to the world of writing. For open G.A.T.E. night at my school, my project was, How to Write and Self-Publish a Book, hoping to inspire other young writers. In the future, as I get older, and my writing methods mature, I hope to become a main-stream author with my books in bookstores across the globe.
