As a multidisciplinary artist working with soil, clay, sand, paper, and other unconventional media, I continually explore new art forms through painting, writing, photography, and performance. Through the work that I am creating I am accessing and embodying energy, which has become a dialectical conversation of gesture and body language. My exploration of the interaction between the phenomena of nature, and the human psyche Is continually moving me through the union of the sensational realms of somatic and spiritual. This union is also creating space for deep consideration of the notions of identity, beauty and the personal as poetic. Using the earth, to create paintings and sculptures that weave a visual story of the historical archive of every bio-matrix of the planet. I often use my body and organic materials performatively to explore the psycho-social, psycho-sexual, Socio-ecological and the spiritual. My work is vulnerable, invasive and visceral. I am asking questions of myself, and my medium, continually in search of a deeper understanding of who I am, my oneness with nature and the intimate relationships cultivated through this work. While my process is highly personal, I find great value in the experiences of those who interact with the work. I explore this by also creating installations and exhibitions that are interactive immersive and emotive for the viewer.
