Jason Finigan was born in Bracebridge, Ontario in 1973 and was raised in Burlington, Ontario by his adoptive parents. At the age of seventeen, he graduated from Lord Elgin High School. As an avid science-fiction fan growing up, Jason immersed himself fully in the genre, watching series such as Doctor Who and Star Trek on TV as often as he could, as well as collecting and reading as many science-fiction novels as he could get his hands on—many of which he still has to this day. He was in fact so fascinated with the genre that he began writing his own science-fiction short stories while in elementary school, many of which earned him high praise from his teachers. In March of 2007, Jason began work on his first science-fiction novel, Destiny’s Edge. He currently lives with his boyfriend in Hamilton, Ontario, where has lived since February of 2009.
