Small-town Iowa boy. Bought my first red Isetta in1958 at age 21. I drove it to Chicago to study architecture. Later, as a draftee, I drove it from The Bluffs to Atlanta, but sold it when the Army shipped me to Korea. 20 years later, married and an advertising photographer in SF, I flipped out seeing an Isetta, bought one, restored it and wrote my Isetta book. I wanted to aid others who may have a similar Isetta wish. My '87 restoration is doing just fine, still shiny and bright red, runs great and drips a little oil. To live this close to Berkeley and have my Isetta is living a dream come true. Beep-beep.
