After a year of marriage my husband and I decided to try for a baby. Sadly, we lost our baby girl at 4 months. Suffering from HELLP syndrome and a molar pregnancy in March of this year, I decided to try and raise more awareness of it all, I began with posting on pregnancy and baby forums of what happened to me. I set up a facebook page- hellpsyndromeangels. Organised a sponsored walk which was featured in the local paper, had an online article through thinkbaby.com and I have been in contact with the NHS to have them reword their information under symptoms for HELLP and pre-eclampsia as it was previously incorrect claiming it cannot happen until at least week 20. I also contacted the college of midwives who agree there is a gap in knowledge and they sent my letters and concerns to who compile the curriculum. My husband is running the 2013 London Marathon to raise money for 'Action on pre-eclampsia' :-) We are just two normal people who want a family and hope one day we will.
