Thanks for visiting. Here's a little bit about my grandmother and her memoirs, entitled "Echo of Her Memories." Galina Aidman was born in Leningrad-St Petersburg as Galochka Berman and lived there for all the Russian part of her life. This includes the periods of Stalin’s dictatorial reign, of Khrushchev’s short period of “thaw” and that of Brezhnev’s stagnating rule. During the War, Galina survived the most gruesome siege in history, the Leningrad Blockade. Amazingly, being just a child then, she still vividly remembers that hell and described it in her distinctive book, “Angels in Hell,” the first of her series, entitled “Echo of Her Memories.”
