Marijan Jozic
Marijan Jozic has dedicated over 45 years to aerospace engineering. He earned his first Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Technique in 1978 from the University of Zagreb (Croatia). Shortly after, in 1980, he began his career with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as a Test Equipment Calibration and Maintenance Engineer in the Test Equipment Maintenance Laboratory. This landmark accomplishment earned Marijan the prestigious VOLARE Award at the Avionics Maintenance Conference (AMC) in Montreal in 2004. The VOLARE Award, bestowed by the American Avionics Institute (AAI). Marijan was nominated twice (2004 and 2005) for the Aerospace Journalist of the Year award in the avionics category. At KLM, Marijan and his avionics engineering group received the TQP (Total Quality Performance) award for the Avionics Master Plan Project. In 2017, Marijan received the Roger S. Goldberg Award for endless passion for avionics maintenance. Marijan’s final conference as AMC chairman was in Prague in 2019. At that conference, Marijan received the “Man of the Decade Award.” This was the crowning achievement of his career in aviation maintenance.
