Mark Turner is a visual artist, filmmaker, writer, and artistic leader. As an artist in several art forms, he has produced and taught in five major regions of the globe over the course of more than 53 years. He is the director of Horizon Gate Productions, a non-profit arts organization which he co-founded with his wife, Donna, in 1981. Mark's emphasis is in multi-media to tell stories and facilitate contemplative experiences using visual arts, poetry, theater, and media. He and Donna developed the Film-Gallery-Cafe concept in which short art-films, exhibited with the art used to make them, stimulate significant conversations. Besides managing communications for churches, they conduct workshops on the arts and creativity.
