Matthew Kear is a historic preservation planner, historian, and photographer. He studied preservation planning at Cornell University and has since worked for the National Park Service and the State of Georgia. Partial to historic cemeteries, Matthew has always found them to be visually stunning landscapes, but his interests are not limited; he is always on the lookout for some place to catch his eye and his imagination. Matthew works and lives in Atlanta, where he remains an avid cemetery walker, photographer, and historian.
