À propos de
Richard Harris

Richard Harris is a retired journalist and one-time evening newspaper editor who spent more than 40 years in the UK provincial newspaper industry. He grew up in Somerset and got a job on his local paper in Weston-super-Mare because, after deciding at the last minute that he did not want to fulfill his childhood dream of going to sea, he couldn't think of anything else to do. He went on to work on newspapers in Bristol and Nottingham before making an ill-fated leap to become editor of the weekly Cumberland News and the evening News & Star in Carlisle, a position he held for three years until he was sacked in 1993. Richard has been married to Tricia, whom he met while working in Somerset, for 36 years and they live in a small rural village a few miles from Carlisle. They have two grown-up sons, a daughter and two grandchildren. His autobiography THE ACCIDENTAL EDITOR is available on www.richardharrisnews.co.uk
