I am a former journalist living in Nottingham, where I work as the City Council’s Media Manager. I am married to Sorriya, with teenage children, Yannick and Sabooha. To relax, I walk our dogs and play the drums, though not usually at the same time. The Sandhouse was written, in brief bursts of motivation, over a period of around 13 years, while Blakey's Big Bucket was a significantly shorter project for me - though probably not my talented sister-in-law who later provided the illustrations.
