Crystal Hosea, or as her students call her, "Mrs. H," is the author of the home music curriculum and book series, Legends of the Staff of Musique. A seasoned classroom music teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience and a home educator herself for almost as long, Crystal created the curriculum to provide a resource for home educators who wanted to bring gentle music education into their home classrooms. ⁣ ⁣ Using the voice as the primary instrument, musical concepts are introduced through imaginative stories, and reinforced through folk songs, projects, games, and even recipes! ⁣ ⁣ Rooted in Kodály, and inspired by a whole-child approach to literacy as is modeled in Waldorf/Steiner education, Legends of the Staff of Musique provides an opportunity for caregivers to explore the beautiful language of music alongside the child in a wonderfully holistic way.
