Like many people Norman had lived a life which he thought of as ordinary. He, like most of us, is almost invisible. However for most of the 20th Century Norman had been involved in and witnessed a brave new world, a world in which we live today. Norman’s journey has spanned the most interesting century that this planet may ever have from the idyllic home of his birth in the bustling market town of St Neots, Cambridgeshire in 1919 to the cold waters of the North Atlantic during World War 2. From the Normandy landings to the burning African sun, through war and peace, Norman’s true story provides us with a unique portrait of one man’s remarkable life.
