When Marcus Novak volunteered to help drive his two estranged sons Peter and Hunter to his ex-wife’s new home, it had seemed easy. But then their van broke down along an empty back road and left them stranded by a motel hosting the first annual convention for magicians and wizards. Marcus is separated from his sons as the hotel moves into another dimension, with only a trio of fairies and one very angry ex-wife to help him get back in. Meanwhile, Hunter befriends a former demon, while Peter falls in love with the beautiful, enigmatic Ariel. But there is a dark side to MagiCon. Few here are exactly as they appear. Lectures and panels are gateways to eldritch lore and dangerous arcane knowledge. Moving in secret and guided by sinister forces, monsters and murder abound along the ‘Con’s periphery. And in a dimension just beyond, a bitter elfin army has assembled, out for vengeance for a 700-year-old grudge that may destroy not only every last wizard (and the Novak boys within) but the entire world as well!
