Supernova! Far in the future, the Sun has reached the end of its lifetime. Faced with the extinction of humans, now living on Pluto, NASA launches a desperate attempt to save the human race, known as Project Alpha. A group of untrained locals are specially selected to take the first flight out of the system to search for new life.
