Change Management in Systems

Change Management and the changes to Configuration, Release, and Assets as a whole group of activities have traditionally been concerned with finding effective solutions to specific operational problems. The purpose of this book is to look at current problems and new, better methods, techniques, and tools for processing changes. In the past, it has been found that too many of the solutions are not implemented and, of those that are, too few survive the inclination of client functional areas to return to familiar ways of doing things. Change Management personnel have gradually come to realise that their tasks should include specific problems solutions, and the designing of problem-solving and implementation systems. This book, if used as a manual, includes methods and processes which identify and solve current problems, predict and prevent future problems, and assists in implementing and maintaining such solutions under changing conditions.
