Advances in Hydrologic Modelling

This is the first book edited by various people of the Assoc.Water and Environmental Modeling. The main objective of this book was to collect the advancements in hydrologic modeling. This book comprises one special article,3 related articles,1 technical note and 1 observations. The special article is a piece written by the great scientist H.L.Penman who has invented the famous law of Penman’s Evapotranspiration Equation. The selected paper deals with role of vegetation on meteorology, soil mechanics and hydrology. The paper explain the relationships which are now often used in various agricultural designs. The technical note deals with the popular hydrologic models available in the market .This will help many modelers to select models according to their requirements. The observation deals with the application of artificial neural network to estimate Reynolds number from dispersion number and creating a relationship between them and hydraulic gradient within a horizontal roughing filter.
