Baroness Hassana Samedi asks the question: “Is it possible for one physically and mentally powerful African/American woman to turn around the life of a forty-something released from prison after seven-years served for all but killing the man his regretful wife chose to cheat on him with?” For this African/American woman, relatively new to the States, neither works in a corrections facility nor in the probation-service and has no interest in rehabilitation. What does interest her, however, is the potential in the man seeing out his parole in the employ of the company where she works as his boss. A man with the potential to become her very own white chattel! Hassana Samedi is the writer of “One-Way to Lagos” and a number of other soon-to-be published tales involving the assertive woman of colour and the Caucasian men they place under their heel.
