This book consists of memories and reflections of the author about Iraq and its people. It tells about Iraqis through everyday life stories without embellishing them or trying to make them sound profound. The author has lived in America for almost fifty years and bridging and understanding both cultures has enabled him to write a book about Iraq that Americans may find easy to read. The book attempts to bridge between two cultures that know little of each other and are now fatefully involved.
