Raymond Mitchell (Mitch) resigned from the LA Police after a car crash took his wife. He continued to try to cope in verious ways as well as continue to raise his two children. He finally decides to take up being a private detective as a hobby, just something to keep him busy. Though he doesn't want to take Miss Adam's case, he ends up with it in his lap and he feels compelled to do what he can with it.
