The longer Billie did the signs, the more involved she became, eventually thinking in slogans, and paying attention along the way to the messages on other church signs. When Billie and her husband Charles traveled across the United States, they rarely had paper available. As Billie drove, Charles would scribble the sayings around the edges of the road maps. Their friends and family shared interesting church signs they had seen. This collection was complied in notebooks over the many years. The sayings are categorized and indexed to assist in finding just the perfect sign. Billie also did the church bulletin for many years and loves quotes so some of those gathered treasures are included at the end of the book which accounts for the PLUS!
