This suite consists of five dances, four in the form of Baroque dances: Bouree, Gavotte, Sarabande, and Gigue. The Intermezzo is original. The Bouree, Sarabande and Gigue are stylistically Baroque, while the Gavotte fills the Baroque dance form with uncharacteristic harmonies and rhythms.
