Bill Murray: On Screen

Chris Wade celebrates the film career of the legendary Bill Murray. Tracing his journey from SNL star to highly acclaimed actor, he starts with the early madcap comedies like Caddyshack and Meatballs, through the blockbuster era of Ghostbusters and Scrooged, 90s classics What About Bob?, Groundhog Day and Rushmore, to his 21st century work, which includes such standouts as Lost in Translation, Broken Flowers and St. Vincent. Wade explores the Murray filmography and sets out to define that Murray magic, dissecting each key performance the great man has given down the years, and looking at his collaborations with such directors as Ivan Reitman, Wes Anderson, and Jim Jarmusch.
