Doug Lyes’ memoir, Chicago’s Viet Nam is an anecdotal approach to the story of his life; and musings on how he was formed, shaped as a youth up on the streets of Chicago as a gang member. Rather than flow chronologically, Chicago’s Viet Nam features short chapters of Doug’s recall of poignant experiences in gang life in the 60’s and 70’s.
