In a world where werewolves rule with iron claws, humans are second-class citizens, treated as little more than cattle for labor and resources. The hierarchy is simple: werewolves are the dominant species, and humans are forced to live in the shadows, their rights limited, their freedom non-existent. In this harsh society, a law exists that terrifies every human-if a human is found to be the mate of a werewolf, they must undergo the transformation into a werewolf within ten days of the discovery, or they will be executed. The law, known as the "Mate's Edict," was designed to ensure that only those who could truly become part of the werewolf world are allowed to live. But what happens when a human is forced to choose between becoming something he never wanted or dying?
