HC Economic Development Plan (black & white edition)

This is an Economic Development and Marketing Plan for Highlands County, Florida, combines research about national and international development with the results of local surveys and workgroups. The result is an economic development plan that has proven development methods but a plan that is extremely local to Highlands County. The plan proposes major new initiatives that the county should undertake. In the development of this plan, Strategic Business Planning Company utilized their AIMIT™ process (Analysis of Innovation and Major Industries to Target) to prioritize industries for the county to aggressively pursue. The study recommends Enabling Initiatives as well as industrial Cluster Initiatives. The Marketing Plan indicates the measures that the Economic Development Council should take to implement the overall plan. Additionally, it identifies many of the organizations that would need to actively participate in order for the initiatives to be fully defined and successfully implemented.
