The Border Bandit

Oliver Tay had no intentions of becoming a border bandit ... of knifing a sleeping sentry at the silver mine ... of stealing fabulous riches from a Mexican slave owner ... of daring the law of a U. S. Army garrison. But the silver mine would have soon crushed his strength and killed him as it had done so many thousands before. The wealthy Mexican had ripped his fortunes from the bleeding bodies of his victims. And the garrison commander refused protection to Oliver Tay and his Mexican friends when the Comanches swooped down at night and destroyed his cattle, burned his home. After that, Oliver Tay lived by no code other than that of survival. His enemies were numerous, his enemies were ruthless. And his friends were few--a knife, a rifle, and a revolver.
