The Hugging Tree

An old man recently widowed, is approached by a wealthy entrepreneur to buy his vineyard which holds magical grapes. The old man, who is actually immortal, refuses the millionaire's request who then accepts aid from a mysterious religious cult that had been looking for the old man for centuries. The cult had been manipulating society for this long time and they now felt the need to punish the old man, one of their former soldiers who had deserted them. He tries to use the magic of his land to fight them, yet they overwhelm him. He is saved by a hidden a powerful magic that comes to his aid from an unlikely source: the sacred tree that grows on his property, a tree that awakens its own magic to save its caretaker.
