Soft Pink Rain

Some things are never planned, they just happen, and sometimes they’re for the best. My mother told me that frequently from the time I was old enough to listen. Seventeen years ago, I was born amid rainbows and raised in the mysterious glistening jungles, coated with slime and bustling with sluggish life beneath the warmth of a quickly pulsing sun. It never mattered to me that I was a thousand light years from Earth.
