The Golden Age brought hundreds of amazing characters, iconic series' that made history, and titles with long, impressive runs - - - but it had just as many failures as successes. Narrative Publishers was as short-lived as they come, with one title running for four issues, POWER COMICS. Although it was published by Narrative, the work was done and the stories compiled by Et-Es-Go/Continental (which had purchased Hoyloke and was aka Temerson/Helnit), under art director L.B. Cole....a distant part of the whole Holyoke/Temerson/Helnit historical chaos. The issues were published without a cover date, certainly designed to extend their shelf life, but research shows that they were published sometime in 1945. Many of the characters saw their only appearance(s) in POWER COMICS, making this series something of an alternate universe of the Golden Age! The talent in this collection, famous names such as Cole, Morey, Palais, Whitman, Giunta, Bache, Rico and others, attests to the idea that longevity and quality are not always tied together. This is the first collection of POWER COMICS in print EVER.
