Nothing ruled the comics during the latter Golden Age more than the western – the action, the drama, the scenery and the characters, all came to us in top-notch form week after week, month after month. While P.L. Publishing was only active one year (1951) they managed to publish excellent comics, including many westerns such as WESTERN FRONTIER. With great artists such as Richard Case, Al Carreno, August Froelich, and Howard Larsen to name just a few, it's easy to see why these book are still sought after today.
